Chest Tubes
Seems like we have been flying alot of patients with chest tubes lately. Dan and I had a request on how we can make chest tube patient transport easier. You ask - We deliver.
Here are 3 videos explaining the use of our equipment that we have.
Part 1 - Introduction to Atrium Mobile Drainage.
Part 3 - The Express Mini 500 Mobile Dry Seal Chest Drain.
Part 2 - The Pneumostat Chest Drain Valve.
NOTES:
If you know that your patient has a chest tube before you arrive. Bring the Atrium Express unit with you. (currently in the drawer).
The Pneumostat only holds 30cc of fluid. So, if you anticipate that your pt will have more output than that use the Atrium Express.
The Atrium Express holds 500cc of fluid. You can also connect 2 chest tubes to one Express using the supplied "Y" adapter. This will makes your transports much less cumbersom when negotiating the tiny aircraft door.
